Haven’t uploaded anything in over a year. That’s gotta change. Hope this short at least suffices til the next WHOOKOS. Which will be out sometime this September (this was not the case). I’ll have this article updated more soon. For now, I’m gonna sleep. WATCH EPISODE HERE! Screenshots WARNING: Screenshots may contain spoilers!
Here we have another short. Though this particular short I find more estetically pleasing. People have been saying that the 3D backgrounds don’t match the characters and it clashes a lot. At least that’s what was said about WHOOKOS Episode 1. I found that the backgrounds fit a bit better this time. It’s also good to know that this short defies the laws of physics (many of them do), seeing as Swiff wasn’t grounded when the events are in motion. WATCH EPISODE HERE! Just a quick short about non-issues. I don’t really know what inspired this short to be honest. Originally this short was going to be a lot more complex, but due to the issue being so simple, it wouldn’t have been realistic for this short. WATCH EPISODE HERE! Unlike past shorts, this one has a bit more going on. It was hard to come up with a way for this classic prank to backfire. I’ll leave it up to you to say whether I was successful or not. The animation takes place in Skoot’s basement; inspired by the original basement from my adolescence. Not much has changed from the original design. The basement had always had this log cabin feel. A quick short with Swiff attempting to pop a nasty zit. Also one of the newer animations to have the 3D rendered backgrounds. 3D backgrounds would set the standard after a while because a lot of what happens in these stories takes place in set locations. Still, I was obviously new at this. It’s also fun to point out that this was the last animation I ever made that used thin black outlines for characters, thus ending the 7 year long habit. This was also the last animation the original Swiffer voiced for. WATCH EPISODE HERE! Screenshots WARNING: Screenshots may contain spoilers!
I made this back when I was still experimenting with photoshopping 3D rendered backgrounds for my animations. One will note that Skoot’s feet are missing in the very first shot. We’ve improved since then. Now don’t get me wrong. I love dubstep. But some out there is just painful to listen to. No substance or thought seems to go into a lot of it. WATCH EPISODE HERE!
